For thousands of years art has been used as a tool for communication. Art has endured through time as a means of healing power. Shamans still use carved figures to facilitate a relationship with the gods; Navaho medicine men continue to heal with sand paintings.

Art was used to express, communicate, and heal before it began to formalize during the middle of the 20th century as therapy.

In essence: To heal you will use creativity to draw on your feelings, thoughts, and ideas.

I don't have a counseling background. However, I utilize art techniques to take a holistic approach to finding new ways of expressing yourself and connecting with your soul.
